Our History
Extrunorte was founded in 2016 by Rafael Sousa, an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. After 20 years of managing a joint-venture company that specialized in the manufacture of flexible packaging, primarily for the food, textile, and pharmaceutical industries, Extrunorte was established to fulfill the entrepreneur’s desire to pursue new projects and goals, with a policy of fostering closer relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and the community at large.

new equipment
During the pandemic, Extrunorte tapped into a niche market by developing and manufacturing personal protective equipment, and during this period—in addition to its other production activities—the workload increased significantly.

In response to growing demand, we opened a new manufacturing facility in 2022, which allowed us to double our production capacity through the acquisition of new extrusion, printing, cutting, and recycling machines.
